Founded in Kearney, Nebraska in 1994 by James Musilek, P.E. and Kevin Christensen, Mid-State Engineering and Testing, Inc set roots in Central Nebraska providing expert Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing services.

With a need in NE Nebraska, Mid-State expanded in 2001 opening an office in Columbus, NE but serving all of Nebraska, and surrounding states. Providing cost effective solutions, Mid-State Engineering and Testing, Inc. has enhanced the industry across all of Nebraska.

Today, Mid-State Engineering and Testing, Inc is owned by Scott Barnett, P.E. Scott first joined Mid-State Engineering in January 2005. The relationships created over his 17 years and the experience and knowledge gained under Mr. Musilek guidance has allowed Mid-State Engineering and Testing to maintain and grow our clients while expanding our services and locations across Nebraska. Now with offices in Kearney, Columbus, Norfolk and soon to be North Platte, NE, Mid-State Engineering and Testing, can provide the same expertise and service where you are. Contractors and Architects no longer need to look to the metropolitan areas for Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing services. We are in your backyard.
